Obviously, all religions fall far short of their own ideals.

About This Quote

I am very curious about the idea that all religions are in conflict with one another. I understand how religions can be in conflict with one another when they are different, but how are they in conflict with each other when they are all based on the same teachings? It would seem that if every religion is only a representation of the same truths that all religions must be in harmony. If that is indeed true, then it is difficult to imagine why all religions seem to be at odds with one another.
